FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS…AND ANSWERS:

Are the TLC-Programs kilojoule based?
No. Food types, quantities and combinations are what is important.

Are these high protein diets?
No. The TLC-Programs consist of foodstuffs from all food groups. They are balanced eating plans.

Why are blood tests necessary?
The Blood Tests allow an analysis of certain aspects of your system which in turn indicates what is required to get your body back in balance.Together with your TLC-International Lifestyle requirements and profile, this approach therefore designs a treatment (diet programme) unique to you (one that will "trigger" your HGH profile and result in weight-loss and the other health and wellbeing benefits).

Some more questions and answers...

Can I give my TLC-International Program to my family and friends to follow?
Your unique eating plan/treatment program will not "trigger" another person's body into correcting its imbalance…it may well cause even more imbalance and illness! Also, in some cases of "copying" we have come across people who have initially lost weight, but gained it very rapidly when going off the diet….once again, because the treatment was not meant for them and as a result their HGH had not been "triggered".

Why are the Supplements (multi-vitamins) you recommend important?
In today's modern way of life every adult will benefit from supplementing his or her diet with essential vitamins and trace elements. The specific multi-vitamin content recommended complements the treatment. The combination of the multi-vitamin enhances the benefits derived from the eating plan, and will make you achieve wellbeing even sooner.

How long will I have to be on my TLC-International Program?
That depends on a number of factors. For example: Your Blood Profile, your age, your sex, the amount of weight you have to lose etc. The average time spent on the TLC-International Program is between 2 and 4 months with an average weight-loss of 7-15 kg (15 to 35lbs) per month (although there are frequent cases of Clients losing much faster than this, particularly males and people who are very overweight!).

Will I be able to live normally again (without constant dieting for the rest of my life)?
You will not be on this program or need to go on another diet ever again….if you do the "Stabilising Program!" Remember, this stage of the treatment takes place at the end of your TLC-International Program where the body has achieved "balance" (you have lost the fat/weight). This 2-4 week "Stabilising" is when the so-called "Bad-foods" (Foods not allowed on the treatment) are re-introduced back into your life without "shocking the body! You are also given healthy lifestyle guidelines that will prevent you from starting the cycle of the "Obesity Syndrome" again.

Must I exercise while on the Program?
No, if you do not exercise now, don't start (especially if you are very overweight)! You can start when you are healthier, but always in moderation! If you do exercise at present, we recommend you continue, but in moderation (Listen to your body…if it hurts or burns…or your appetite increases dramatically, you are doing too much exercise!)

Why do you exclude certain age groups (e.g. below 12 and above 65) from the treatment?
We do make some exceptions (but these are based on the particular individual's profile). These categories do not respond well enough to the treatment because of various factors such as psycho-social-environment-profile, existing HGH levels, unsuitable blood profile etc.

There are so many "diet fads" and programmes available today…why should this be the one I do?
In most cases the Clients who come to us have already tried everything!

Am I weighing my foods correctly?
Do you have an accurate food scale that clearly indicates 5-gram intervals? On this Eating Plan every gram counts! Be sure to weigh accurately. Also remember to weigh all your food raw, and avoid processed, pre-cooked, battered and crumbed food.

What foods am I allowed to eat?
Use only the specific protein and vegetables as indicated on your list. Never assume that anything is equivalent in value to replace a food type, as we are working with very specific food (and chemical) content.

How am I meant to eat my Provita or Crackerbread?
Never have more than two Provitas or Crackerbread together in one serving. This will register in your body as a starch and show up as a deviation.

Can I skip meals?
Do you ever skip a meal, or have less than your indicated quantity on the Eating Plan? Skipping a meal or having less than your allowance will register in your body as a deviation. You will not trigger the human Growth Hormone (hGH) fully if doing this.

I need to take medication - what do I do?
Certain medications, such as cough mixtures and throat lozenges, can contain sugar and alcohol, which will interfere with the Eating Plan. Rather ask your Pharmacist/GP for medication that does not contain alcohol and sugar.

What happens when I deviate?
Have you had to attend a function, eat at a restaurant or at friends? Even a once-off deviation can impact on your Treatment as a whole.

Which herbs and spices?
Always ensure that you use listed herbs and spices that contain no starch, preservative or MSG. Natural is better!

What about Homeopathic Remedies?
These are often in an alcohol base (with sometimes as high as a 30% alcohol content) so always check with your TLC-Clinic before using.

Can I use fruit more often?
Are you using any fruit that is not specifically mentioned by name on the Eating Plan, or dried fruit, fruit juice, or more than your allowance of fruit? Fruit is not a "safe" cheat, because of sugar content and the related impact on Insulin.
